I was so excited to be part of my mentor’s, Dr. Latisha Porter-Vaughn, new book, Whispered Journeys: Spoken Softly, but Loudly Understood. The vast majority of enthusiastic participants eagerly hopped onto the virtual platform for the Zoom call, bubbling with excitement to share a brief glimpse into their unique hearing loss odysseys. With hearts as open as their microphones, they took turns weaving tales of resilience and resourcefulness, shedding light on the creative strategies they employ to enhance their quality of life amidst the harmonious challenges of living with hearing loss.
