Introducing Mighty Hearoes: Tales of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Champions — A Children's Book Series Coming in 2025
I’m excited to share a special announcement today about a project that’s very close to my heart. In 2025, I’ll be launching my new children’s book series, Mighty Hearoes: Tales of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Champions. This series is dedicated to all the amazing kids who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have any other disability. It’s a celebration of resilience, bravery, and the vibrant lives we lead—regardless of the challenges we face.
To all the incredible kids out there:
You are the heroes of your own story. Your challenges don’t define you—your courage, kindness, and dMreams do. Whether you communicate with your hands, your voice, or in your own unique way, keep shining brightly. The world is yours to explore, and your voice, no matter how it’s expressed, is powerful beyond measure.
Why I Wrote Mighty Hearoes
As someone who has experienced hearing loss, I know firsthand that it can sometimes feel like you’re alone or that the world isn’t made for you. That’s why I wrote Mighty Hearoes. I want every child, especially those who are deaf or hard of hearing, to see themselves as the hero in their own journey.
Each book in the series tells the stories of kids who are just like them—facing challenges but never letting those challenges limit them. These characters communicate in different ways, follow their dreams, and show the world that they are unstoppable.
This series is for all children, not just those with hearing loss. It’s about understanding that we all have unique ways of interacting with the world, and that diversity makes life richer.
Empowering Families Through Valecia Adams’ Coaching
I’m proud to mention that my dear friend Valecia Adams, a coach who specializes in empowering women of color managing hearing loss, shares a similar vision of empowerment and resilience. Through her coaching services, Valecia helps individuals embrace their unique journeys, live VIBRANT, and build fulfilling lives despite the challenges of hearing loss.
Valecia's coaching is all about helping her clients cultivate the confidence to navigate their lives with purpose and vibrancy. She provides practical guidance and emotional support, allowing women of color who are deaf or hard of hearing to reclaim their power and live the full, meaningful lives they deserve.
I’ve seen firsthand how her work transforms lives, and it aligns perfectly with the message of Mighty Hearoes: that your challenges don’t define you—your strength and determination do.

Final Thoughts
Mighty Hearoes: Tales of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Champions is about more than just overcoming challenges; it’s about celebrating the strength and courage within us all. Whether you’re a parent, educator, or someone navigating hearing loss yourself, this series is here to inspire and uplift. I hope you’ll join me in celebrating the diversity and strength of every child, and the power of their voices—no matter how they’re expressed.
And if you or someone you know is looking for additional support while navigating hearing loss, I encourage you to explore the incredible coaching services offered by Valecia Adams. Together, we can build a world where every voice is heard, celebrated, and empowered.
